Lawren and her husband, Elmore Just, purchased the land (765 acres 20 miles east of downtown Louisville) that spans Persimmon Ridge Golf Club, and the Persimmon Ridge Development (XXX+ homesites, now fully developed). They had a shared dream to build and own a special golf course and community. Elmore spearheaded the work on the golf course, while Lawren was in charge of developing the land with strategically placed homesites, and enticing amenities. They realized their dream. Lots of hard work—and heartache—ensued. A downturn in the economy forced them to sell the course, but five years later they were able to repurchase it. And then, tragically, just two months after regaining the course, Elmore suffered a massive heart attack and died.

It was Lawren, who bravely moved forward to keep their dreams alive.
